HIMIG at the 2026 World Peace Choral Festival

It is an honour for Himig Kabataan Cultural Society (HKCS)’s choral division, HIMIG, to be invited to participate in the 15th World Peace Choral Festival (WPCF), which will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 23 to 26 July 2026.

Supported by the Austrian Federal Government, the City of Vienna, the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, and the world-famous Vienna Boys’ Choir, this prestigious festival brings together choirs from around the world to celebrate music and promote peace.

The Church of the Holy Trinity and HKCS presents MAGKAISANG HIMIG (“United Melody”) on April 25th, 2026.

HKCS returns for their first headliner concert of the year, featuring the talents of HIMIG, HKCS’s choral ensemble. Enjoy an evening of Filipino choral music, from traditional kundiman to sacred music and contemporary works.

Come see MAGKAISANG HIMIG in their 2PM or 6PM show at the Church of the Holy Trinity in White Rock, BC. For tickets, inquire at the concert venue or communicate an HKCS member.

On behalf of all the members of the Himig Kabataan Cultural Society, our hearts go out to those affected by the tragic incident at the Lapu-Lapu Day Festival. We offer our prayers for the repose of the souls who have passed, and we extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones. We also pray for the health, healing, and comfort of those who have been injured or traumatized. The Lapu-Lapu Block Party was created to honor Datu Lapu-Lapu and to symbolize cultural harmony in British Columbia. Our choir, composed of second and third generation Filipino-Canadian teens, embrace and share the Filipino culture through music and art. As Filipinos, we stand together, support one another, and mourn together especially through difficult times like this.
