HKCS Presents: Himig ng Kasaysayan

Come join Himig Kabataan Cultural Society for “Himig ng Kasaysayan” (“Melody of History”), their second annual year-end concert!

Enjoy an afternoon of song and dance written and choreographed by Filipino artists, as this love letter to the Philippines takes you through its history through the eyes of music. This concert features performances from HKCS’ beloved youth choir, instrumental ensemble, and dance squad, which makes its debut.

We offer our prayers for the repose of the souls who have passed, and we extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones. We also pray for the health, healing, and comfort of those who have been injured or traumatized. The Lapu-Lapu Block Party was created to honor Datu Lapu-Lapu and to symbolize cultural harmony in British Columbia. Our choir, composed of second and third generation Filipino-Canadian teens, embrace and share the Filipino culture through music and art. As Filipinos, we stand together, support one another, and mourn together especially through difficult times like this.
